In the Beginning...

We decided that it would be great fun to drive across the country, a great family adventure. We thought about camping, staying in hotels and even towing a trailer but there always seemed to be something that wasn't going to work with each method of transportation.

Then last summer, we were driving back from a wet tent camping trip on Hornby Island when we noticed motorhomes on the highway and started to talk about the pros and cons. There were a lot of pros, especially with the size of our family, to traveling in a motorhome. The only drawback was the GAS CONSUMPTION, especially with the way gas prices are going.

We started looking around...slowly, looking at some older used ones and a few super nice newer and very expensive ones. It was a long process, we had criteria that had to be met...but we finally found something that would work.

Now I have to figure out what to put in it...all before we leave in a few weeks!! Gotta get started on some lists.
