Thanks to a great friend who took the 3 younger kids for the day, the 2 older kids and I packed the RV and got ready to go; the older kids probably wished they had left. I couldn't get the fridge to work which was a concern but I managed to figure it out. We picked up the younger kids on the road on the way to the ferry. The ferry only cost $155.00, we thought it was going to be a lot more. The weather was warm and we watched a beautiful sunset. We got off the ferry and drove through Hope and drove and drove till we hit Hell's Gate, where we pulled into the parking lot to sleep. The only mishap so far has been that the fridge has opened a few times while we've been driving because it is crammed a little too full. We watched the moon set over the mountains before we went to sleep, it was 1:30 am.

Nifty!
Thanks for setting up the blog to share your adventure.
But what were you and Owen thinking when you chose to take your children past Hope and then stopping at Hell's gate to rest for the night? As one of your home teachers I would caution you to stay a little further away ;-)

Sad we missed your send off. Take care. If you are in the areas of Kelowna or Montreal I have family that would love to give you a meal or two. Post lots because I love looking at blogs.
Cole wants to know if you can swing by North Carolina and pick him up to take him back to Victoria?
